Who built OziShield?
OziShield is built and maintained by Ozinexus Technologies, a Sydney-based digital engineering company. It is free to use and will always remain free.
Can OziShield detect AI-generated or deepfake images?
RealCheck analyses images using seven complementary technical signals, including error level analysis, noise patterns, EXIF metadata, colour-space consistency and file integrity.
It identifies indicators that may be consistent with editing, AI generation or manipulation. Results are confidence-weighted indicators—not definitive proof that an image is real or fake.
Do you store my links or messages?
OziShield does not require your name, email address or an account to run a public scan.
Submitted content is processed to generate a result. Limited anonymous technical metadata may be used for security, abuse prevention and aggregate service statistics.

No — scammers can also get HTTPS. Padlock ≠ safe.
Can I check if a photo or screenshot is fake?
You can use RealCheck to examine JPEG, PNG and WEBP images for technical indicators associated with editing, manipulation or AI generation.
The result includes a confidence-weighted assessment and a plain-English explanation. It should be used as supporting guidance, not as definitive proof of authenticity.
Why is AI image detection important for scams?
Scammers may use AI-generated profile pictures, altered photographs and manipulated screenshots to create false trust.
RealCheck helps users examine technical manipulation indicators before relying on or sharing an image.
Will you release apps or extensions?
The OziShield Chrome Extension is live on the Chrome Web Store. It provides automatic page checks, manual link and message scanning, RealCheck image analysis and locally stored scan history.
OziShield can also be added to a phone’s home screen as an installable web app, without using an app store.
How accurate is OziShield?
OziShield returns confidence-weighted signals, not a guaranteed verdict. Detection accuracy varies by threat type — novel or sophisticated scams may not be flagged. Always apply your own judgment before acting on any result.
Does OziShield replace antivirus apps?
No. OziShield is not an antivirus.
