Please read these terms carefully before using OziShield or the Partner Program.

Introduction
Welcome to OziShield, a free scam, phishing, and fraud detection service operated by Ozinexus Technologies Pty Ltd (ABN 35 414 180 295), Sydney, Australia ("we", "our", "us").
By accessing or using this website and its tools — including the Scam Checker, RealCheck, RealCheck Guardian, and the OziShield Partner Widget — you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
These Terms were updated in June 2026 to include the OziShield Partner Program and Embedded Widget terms. They supersede all previous versions.
Purpose of OziShield
OziShield is a free public safety and digital awareness initiative. It helps individuals and small businesses identify potential scam links, phishing pages, fraudulent messages, manipulated images, and AI-generated deepfakes.
OziShield is intended for educational, preventive, and forensic-utility purposes only. It is not a substitute for official cybersecurity advice, legal advice, law enforcement, or crisis support services.
Nature of the Service
- OziShield analyses links, messages, screenshots, and images to detect patterns associated with scams, phishing, and digital manipulation.
- Results are generated using algorithmic checks, forensic signal analysis, machine learning models, and verified data sources.
- All scan outcomes are indicative only, not conclusive. They represent probabilistic forensic analysis, not definitive legal determinations.
- The tool does not guarantee that any link, message, or image is completely safe or completely fraudulent.
- OziShield is not a law enforcement agency, security guarantee provider, or legal representative.
OziShield Partner Program — Embedded Widget
4.1 What the Partner Program Is
The OziShield Partner Program allows businesses, organisations, and community groups ("Partners") to embed the OziShield scan widget on their own websites. Partners receive a unique API key and embed code that calls the OziShield scan engine on behalf of their users.
The Partner Program is currently available free of charge under the Free Tier (500 scans per month). Business and Enterprise tiers with higher limits are available on request.
4.2 Partner Registration
To become a Partner, you must:
- Register at ozishield.com/partners with a valid business name, website domain, and email address.
- Agree to these Terms of Use and the Partner-specific obligations in this section.
- Ensure the "Powered by OziShield" badge remains visible on all widget instances at all times.
Registration is subject to approval at our discretion. We reserve the right to reject, suspend, or revoke any partner account without notice if we determine misuse has occurred or is likely to occur.
4.3 Partner Obligations
As a Partner, you agree to:
- Use the widget only on the domain registered at the time of sign-up. The widget will reject requests from unregistered domains.
- Not attempt to circumvent, reverse-engineer, or abuse the API key system.
- Not resell, sublicense, or transfer your API key or embed code to any third party.
- Not use the widget in a way that could damage the reputation of OziShield or Ozinexus Technologies.
- Display the "Powered by OziShield" badge at all times on any page where the widget appears. Removing or obscuring this badge constitutes a breach of these Terms.
- Comply with all applicable privacy laws, including the Australian Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), when deploying the widget on your website.
4.4 Scan Data and Partner Analytics
Scans performed through the Partner widget are logged against your partner account for usage tracking, monthly limit enforcement, and quality improvement.
The following data is stored per widget scan: the URL or text submitted, the scan verdict, the risk score, signal metadata, your API key, and the originating domain. No personally identifiable information about your end users is stored.
OziShield does not share partner scan data with third parties. Aggregated, anonymised data may be used for threat intelligence and service improvement.
4.5 False Alert Feedback
Partners may submit false positive or false negative feedback on scan results through the widget feedback endpoint. This feedback is used to improve the accuracy of the OziShield scan engine. Submitting false, malicious, or manipulated feedback constitutes a breach of these Terms.
4.6 Scan Limits and Fair Use
Free Tier partners are entitled to 500 scans per month. Exceeding this limit will result in the widget returning an error until the following calendar month. We reserve the right to adjust tier limits at any time with reasonable notice.
Automated, scripted, or bulk scanning in excess of your registered limit without prior written agreement is not permitted and may result in immediate account suspension.
4.7 Liability Limitation for Partners
OziShield provides the widget API on an "as is" basis. We do not guarantee uptime, accuracy, or uninterrupted service. We are not liable for any loss, damage, or claim arising from:
- Widget downtime or unavailability.
- Scan results that are inaccurate, incomplete, or misinterpreted by your users or your organisation.
- Any action taken or not taken by your users based on widget scan results.
- Security incidents arising from your implementation of the embed code on your website.
It is your responsibility as a Partner to implement the widget appropriately and to communicate clearly to your users that scan results are indicative only.
4.8 Termination
We may suspend or terminate your Partner account at any time if we determine that you have violated these Terms, your account is being used for abusive or harmful purposes, or continued operation poses a risk to OziShield infrastructure or users.
You may close your account at any time by emailing hello@ozishield.com. Upon termination, your API key will be revoked and all widget scan functionality will cease.
RealCheck Guardian — Specific Terms
5.1 What RealCheck Guardian Is
- A system that generates a cryptographic fingerprint (SHA-256 hash and perceptual hash) of an uploaded image, combined with a timestamped forensic certificate.
- A deterrent and evidence-generation system — its purpose is to create a verifiable record that an image existed in a specific state at a specific point in time.
- A misuse-report intake system, allowing users to flag suspected unauthorised use of a registered image.
5.2 What RealCheck Guardian Is Not
- Not a guarantee against image misuse or unauthorised reproduction.
- Not legal advice, legal representation, or a legal ownership instrument of any kind.
- Not a biometric system — no facial recognition or biometric profiles are created or stored.
- Not a crisis support or counselling service.
- Not a surveillance tool or identity verification service.
- Not responsible for decisions made by third-party platforms, law enforcement agencies, or courts based on generated certificates or reports.
5.3 Image Data Handling
- OziShield does not store your original image. Only a mathematical fingerprint (hash) is retained. No visual image data, facial data, or biometric information is stored on OziShield servers at any time.
- Image files uploaded for registration are processed in memory and discarded immediately after hashing.
- Only the following metadata is stored: hash values, image dimensions, file size, registration timestamp (UTC), and country of origin (country code only — no full IP address is retained).
5.4 Forensic Certificates
- Certificates generated by RealCheck Guardian constitute a forensic record only — they evidence that a specific hash existed at a recorded timestamp. They are not legal title documents and do not constitute proof of copyright ownership.
- Certificates may be used as supporting evidence in submissions to regulators, platforms, or law enforcement. However, their admissibility in any legal or regulatory proceeding is determined solely by the relevant authority, not by OziShield.
- All certificates display a disclaimer confirming they are forensic records, not legal instruments.
5.5 Misuse Reports
- Misuse reports are forwarded as informational alerts to the relevant certificate holder only.
- OziShield does not investigate reported misuse claims, contact third parties, act as an intermediary, or make determinations about the validity of any report.
- Submitting a false or malicious misuse report may constitute a breach of these Terms and may be actionable under Australian law.
5.6 Removal Request Letters (Guardian Pro)
- Document templates generated by the Removal Request Letter tool are provided for reference and convenience only.
- They do not constitute legal advice. Users should consult a qualified Australian solicitor before taking formal legal action.
- OziShield accepts no liability for outcomes resulting from the use of generated template documents.
Acceptable Use
You agree not to misuse OziShield or its systems. Specifically, you will not:
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, overload, or interfere with any scanner, endpoint, or database.
- Submit illegal or malicious content — including child exploitation material, hate content, or content designed to harm others.
- Use automated scripts or bots to perform large-scale scans or registrations without written consent.
- Impersonate others, register images you do not have rights to submit, or falsely claim verification or protection by OziShield.
- Submit false, misleading, or malicious misuse reports or false alert feedback with intent to harm another individual or entity.
- Use OziShield results to publicly defame, harass, or make unfounded legal claims against any person or business.
- Use the service for any purpose that violates Australian law or the laws of your jurisdiction.
Breach of these terms may result in immediate access restriction, report to relevant authorities, and/or legal action under applicable Australian laws.
Accuracy and Disclaimers
- OziShield integrates data from trusted sources including URLhaus, PhishTank, OpenPhish, and internal forensic detection logic. We make no warranties regarding the absolute accuracy or completeness of any result.
- All confidence scores and manipulation signal outputs represent confidence-weighted probabilistic analysis. They are forensic indicators — not definitive determinations of authenticity, inauthenticity, legality, or fraud.
- OziShield does not claim that any link, message, or image is "100% safe" or "100% fraudulent." Such determinations require independent expert review.
- You should confirm suspicious findings through official resources such as Scamwatch, the ACCC, or the Australian Cyber Security Centre.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by the Australian Consumer Law (Schedule 2, Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth)) and the laws of New South Wales, Ozinexus Technologies Pty Ltd shall not be liable for:
- Any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from use of OziShield or reliance on any scan result, certificate, report, or generated document.
- Loss of income, data, reputation, or any other loss arising from actions taken or not taken based on OziShield outputs.
- Downtime, errors, or inaccuracies resulting from third-party APIs, data providers, or infrastructure failures.
- Any outcome resulting from the use of RealCheck Guardian certificates or reports in legal, regulatory, or law enforcement proceedings.
- Any failure to prevent misuse of images registered through RealCheck Guardian.
- Any loss suffered by a Partner or their end users arising from widget scan results, API downtime, or account suspension.
By using this service, you agree that all scans, registrations, and use of generated outputs are undertaken at your own discretion and risk.
Privacy and Data Handling
- Your data is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and the Australian Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
- We do not sell, share, or monetise personal information or scan results.
- For the Scam Checker and RealCheck tools: no personally identifiable data is stored. Scans are processed and discarded.
- For RealCheck Guardian: only hash fingerprints, image metadata, and country-level geolocation are stored. No original images, facial data, or biometric data are retained (see Section 5.3).
- For the Partner Widget: scan logs are stored against your partner account for usage tracking and quality purposes only. No end-user personally identifiable information is stored.
- IP addresses are processed for rate limiting only, stored as a one-way hash, and never associated with individual scan results.
- Anonymous, aggregated scan statistics may be used for transparency reporting and service improvement only.
Intellectual Property
All logos, branding, design, source code, and content related to OziShield, RealCheck Guardian, the AI Clarity Standard™, and Ozinexus Technologies are protected under Australian and international copyright and intellectual property laws.
You may not reproduce, modify, reverse-engineer, or reuse our code, UI components, API endpoints, certificate formats, or brand assets without prior written consent from Ozinexus Technologies Pty Ltd.
The "Powered by OziShield" badge and associated branding used in the Partner Widget may be displayed solely for the purpose of indicating participation in the OziShield Partner Program and must not be altered, removed, or used in any other context.
Updates and Revisions
We may revise these Terms at any time. Changes take effect immediately upon posting. Continued use of OziShield after any update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. The "Effective Date" at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of NSW.

In Plain English — What This Means for You
- OziShield is a free safety tool — not a security guarantee, legal service, or law enforcement agency.

- RealCheck Guardian creates forensic proof records — it cannot prevent someone from misusing your photo.
